Saturday:)

I have achieved nothing today. I did water the tomatoes and the potatoes and I have checked my e-mails and that is about it. Can't seem to get going at all. I have watched a bit of Davis Cup and then the Qld rain fell and stopped that so maybe I will go to the craft room and see what I can make a mess of. I fully intended to do some Porcelain painting today using my arm rest but I think that will have to wait until Monday now. We are going to watch Alannah and Tayla dance tomorrow. Art and I went to Springwood yesterday to the Exhibition so I post some photos before I sign out.
These are my 'girls' as hung by the gallery. They took up a whole wall.
The blue vase below is one of mine too.

< this one!
These beautiful pieces are Dianna Woolley.

These are works by Joan Lamb and are truly lovely-she made the shapes as well.
These lovely pieces are by my teacher Fay Green.

Bee in our lemon tree. Yipee!

We have tried to grow some kind of citrus tree for the past 20 some years - to no avail. Now just look at this the tree actually has encouraged a bee to visit. We might have lemons yet:)

Miniature Cross Stitch

Here is a miniature I sewed last year sometime-not sure the eyes are up to much more of this but you never know.

September Presents!

I have been to the Framers today to pick up Fran's birthday present. I am so pleased with it. APAT asked me to paint some pink gum blossoms on a small porcelain pallet. So I painted three or four to make sure I got it right as all the other painters were teachers and I am but a student-with sooo much to learn.

Friday -again!

Encore Historical Costume Group today and we are still agonising over the ADI Jacket. It will be solved-eventually. I am uploading a photo of Arthur's latest triumph. I am so lucky. Arthur has made me this -don't know what to call it-but I can rest my arm on it while I paint my porcelain. Now I might be able to sign my name properly and also paint a straight line when needed. Have a look:)

Fathers'Day 2010

Here we are celebrating Fathers Day at Yum Cha. That is my Arthur being a Dad then me with one of our 8 granddaughters Alannah and then, not a very good shot as they were against the light, Rachel and Georgia.
The Fish markets was packed to the gills-so to speak-but we had a lovely day. A couple of us got lost on the way there and Rachel swears she will never go back because she got lost big time. But no bigger than me. I thought I had it all figured out as Stuart had taken me there on Mothers Day but my memory left out the most important chunk of the route:)
But again no cards done. However-Scott and Beverley brought me a lovely book of transfers from a company called Sukie(UK) and although they are for fabric I have tried them on cards and they work, so looking forward to Wednesday.
Porcelain Art tomorrow-yippee. Have given all my pieces for the Springwood Exhibition so am now less stressed about that. It opens soon, cannot believe it has already come around.
But next couple of weeks it is time for the Gazette again-thank goodness there are only 6 a year..

Friday third day of Spring:)

It is freezing again thought this was spring??? Had a lovely lunch with a friend yesterday in Sydney town, right opposite the Opera House. The view was spoiled by the miserable weather. I like Valet parking-removes the stress.
I don't know where the time goes but it seems like ages since I entered the Craft Room.
I received a fantastic Stampin' up Catalogue from Angela Sargeant this week and have really enjoyed looking through it-probably why I haven't been in the Craft Room:)
Having said all that, I will attempt to enter that CR!
